We grind most stumps 6 to 12 inches below grade, which is deep enough to plant grass, sod, or shrubs. If you need to plant a new tree or pour concrete over the spot, let us know and we'll grind deeper.
Most residential stumps take 20 to 60 minutes. Large stumps or clusters of several stumps can run longer. We'll give you an accurate time when we quote the job.
By default we back-fill the hole with the fresh mulch and rake the area smooth. If you'd rather have the mulch hauled off or piled elsewhere on the property, just let us know.
